4 Yoga Poses on Finding Inner Peace

First you are going to need a strap.

First is, Easy Seated Pose. So, stay as you are and embrace this pose for a minute. Breathe. This is a classic meditation posture to support balances energy and stills the mind.

 

Next is Modified Seated Forward Fold. Sit on your bum with your legs extended in staff pose. As best as you can, place the straps around the balls of your feet and gently tighten your grip so you feel a slight stretch reaching forward. Relax and breathe. Hold for several seconds, release and repeat as often as you like. Now remove your strap and place it to the side.

This pose invites introspection and quiet, stretches the spine and hamstrings gently.

 

Next is Supine Bound Angle Pose - Lie on your back, bring soles of your feet together, let your knees fall out to the sides. Support your knees with pillows if needed.

This pose opens the heart and hips gently, ideal for rest and reflection.

You can place your hands on heart and belly, feel the rhythm of your breath.

 

Lastly is Child’s Pose. You know what to do. Kneel, bring your big toes together, and sit back on your heels. Fold forward, stretching your arms in front or letting them rest by your sides. Breathe slowly and deeply for several minutes.
