Almond butter offers several health benefits due to its rich nutrient profile. It's a good source of monounsaturated fats, vitamin E, and fiber, which can support heart health, skin health, and blood sugar management. Almond butter can also contribute to weight management and bone health.
Let’s dive into the benefits for your heart health.
Almond butter contains monounsaturated fats, which help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and raise HDL (good) cholesterol. It also provides omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, all of which contribute to improved cardiovascular health.
Next is shredded coconut which offers several health benefits, including improved digestion, potential weight management support, and a boost to overall well-being. It's a good source of fiber, which aids digestion. Additionally, coconut shreds contain antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that contribute to overall health and may support a healthy gut microbiome.
Next is coconut sugar which offers several potential benefits compared to refined sugars. It has a lower glycemic index, which means it causes a slower and less dramatic rise in blood sugar levels. It also contains trace amounts of nutrients like iron, zinc, calcium, and potassium, as well as antioxidants and fiber. However, it's still a source of added sugar and should be consumed in moderation.
Now, almond flour which is rich in Vitamin E, which supports immune function and many other antioxidants which help reduce the risk of serious health conditions like cancers, diabetes, heart disease, and strokes. It also contains a good source of manganese and magnesium.
It is also high in calcium, which is good for bone health.
Lastly, it is also plant-based, which makes it a great source of plant-based protein making it a good choice for vegans and vegetarians. It’s also gluten free, grain free and even paleo & keto friendly.
Again, I like to talk about Lily’s chocolate chips. Lily's chocolate offers several potential benefits for those watching their sugar intake or following a keto-friendly diet. It's made with stevia, a zero-calorie sweetener, and often contains fiber from chicory root, aiding in gut health. Lily's chocolate is also vegan, gluten-free, and certified Fairtrade, with options like extremely dark chocolate, milk chocolate, all without added sugar. I like dark chocolate because it has 55% cacao.
