1 Minute Meditation on Building Emotional Resilience

Find a comfortable position and allow your body to settle.

Gently close your eyes, or lower your gaze.

 

Bring your attention to your breath.
Slow inhale… and a steady exhale.
Let each breath anchor you right here.

 

Now, bring to mind a recent moment that felt challenging, nothing overwhelming, just something mildly difficult.

 

Notice how your body responds.
Where do you feel it?
Tightness, heaviness, restlessness… simply observe.

 

Now imagine creating a little space around that feeling.
You don’t have to push it away, just let it be there while you stay grounded in your breath.

 

Silently remind yourself:
“I can feel this and still be steady.”

 

With each inhale, sense strength building within you.
With each exhale, soften any resistance.

 

Like a tree in the wind, you may bend—but you don’t break.

 

Rest here for a few more breaths, noticing your capacity to stay present with what arises.

 

And when you’re ready, gently return, carrying this quiet resilience with you.
